Facial hair in women tends to be darker and stronger than fine vellus hair — most often above the upper lip and on the chin. Its growth is driven by hormones, genetics or life stages such as pregnancy and menopause.
If facial hair has appeared quickly and comes with other changes, we recommend seeing a doctor first — there may be a hormonal cause worth treating alongside. Laser hair removal addresses the visible symptom, not the cause.

The process
How a session works

Preparation
Shave the zone 12–24 hours before the session. For four weeks avoid wax, tweezers, epilators and chemical peels. Stay out of the sun and solarium for a month — we do not treat the face on tanned skin.

The session
The upper lip takes just a few minutes, the whole face about 20–30. Your eyes stay protected with goggles throughout. The difference is usually visible after the first session.

After the treatment
Redness usually fades within a few hours. Skip make-up on the treated spot for 48 hours; the sauna and intense sport can wait. Use SPF 50 daily for two weeks — the face gets the most sun exposure.

The laser targets the pigment in the hair, so it works best on darker hair. On very light or grey hair the effect is limited — we assess the realistic outcome at the consultation.
No. Tweezers and wax remove the hair together with the root the laser aims at, leaving nothing for the next session to work on. Between sessions you may only shave.
Usually 5–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart; when the growth is hormonally driven, an occasional maintenance session is also needed.
